I can naturally provide you (or whoever I'm advised) with both the serial number from the back page of the manual as well as a number listed inside the back page at the bottom of the warranty page on page 16 which starts EAE. Would that make a difference? I don't see why it should. PS Perhaps I should mention the game was second hand, not new. PLEASE could you kindly advise me what might be wrong and how this can be fixed? I would appreciate it very much. I even played through again to the same point starting a new save in case somehow that might have been the problem but of course that made no difference and I got the same message. Having purchased this original game via Amazon and having been looking forward immensely to playing it for almost a week (it arrived today), I'm now having this problem and I don't know why. Nothing else at all! No health packs, stasis packs, ammunition, power nodes etc. So all I had available to me was a refurbished plasma cutter and the engineering suit. However when I get to the first store/shop (or whatever you want to call it) and tried to go into the buy part of the store (the store in the game of course), I got the message as in the title of this post - "Not connected to the EA server. I put in the serial number from the back of the manual and received "activation successful" so far all was good and I was excited to play. ![]() It went through the "First Run of Dead Space 2 Release Rate Check" without any problems. I have installed the game without problem. I have just purchased this great game after having played Dead Space 1 a number of times and thought it would be great to play number 2 before I then purchase and play the latest Dead Space 3 game. I wonder if someone could kindly help me please before I end up tearing my hair out?!
